In other words, just write it and give it to he/she - it need not be very good - she'll/he'll love it anyway.
Short and uncomplicated love poems work best for me. When I say short and simple, I'm talking about 8 to 10 lines. In my experience, a love poem longer than that won't get written. Pick out a few personal things about that extra person and write cute minute lines about it. Make it rhyme if you want, but don't think too much about it - you won't be able to write it.
